Antjiesfontein has been a private game reserve, for its owners use exclusively, since 2008. Hunting became a necessary activity to regulate the maturing game population over the years. The full perimiter of the farm is enclosed with special game fencing, which ensures that hunting can take place all year round on the available 4500 ha (11 120 acres).

The undulating and varying nature of Karoo broken veld with 20 km of riverine bush makes it excellent hunting terrain for the hunter on foot while the extensive area allows management to offer rifle hunting without risk of interference of the different disciplines. The game vehicles are all proper 4X4’s, ensuring they are well equipt for the rough terrain.

15 species are available for hunting, including:

  • Kudu
  • Gemsbok
  • Black Wildebeest
